Where made-to-measure pays off in a townhouse
Emaar Community Management describes The Springs as mainly townhouses. Rooms in an attached house are rarely generous, and the furniture that fits them is often not the furniture you can buy. A sofa wall between two doors, a dining area beside the staircase, a bedroom where a desk has to share a wall with a wardrobe: these are the places where a piece designed to the centimetre makes the room usable. Custom furniture also lets the finishes match the rest of your joinery, so a console, a TV unit and the wardrobes read as one design.

Designing the piece with the room
Drawn in 3D, made in our workshop
Every piece is drawn in 3D inside your room before it is made, so you can check its height against the window sill, the clearance to the stairs and how it sits with the furniture you are keeping.
It is then made in our own workshop and delivered to site, where our team fits wall-hung units and adjusts freestanding ones to the floor. In The Springs, deliveries work under the entry permit that Emaar Community Management requires for service providers.

What changes the cost
Size, the material and finish, hardware such as drawer runners and hinges, built-in lighting or power, and whether the piece is fixed to the wall or freestanding. Several pieces in the same finish, made together, are simpler to produce than one-off items ordered separately. A quotation follows the site visit.
