CIVIL CONSTRUCTION · PROJECT GUIDE

Prepare the information needed for your civil works enquiry

A civil construction enquiry needs a precise description of the proposed works. Share whether your project concerns a new build, an extension, an alteration or civil works within a renovation. Include the site location, approximate area, existing condition and the drawings or consultant information available.

Construction feasibility and permissions are project-specific. Outline known access constraints and approval status, and identify any appointed consultants. Structural responsibilities, authority requirements, contractor scope and specifications must be confirmed through the appropriate project review. This page is an invitation to discuss the brief, not confirmation that proposed work is permitted.

Can an extension or alteration be assessed?

Describe the intended change and the information available. Feasibility, technical design and approval requirements need review before the work can be accepted or priced.

Which documents are useful for a civil construction enquiry?

Available site plans, drawings, scope notes, specifications and known approval information are useful. State what is missing so the next information-gathering step can be discussed.

BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

A few useful answers.

Can I enquire without complete drawings?

Yes. State which plans, site information or consultant documents are available. The team can identify what is needed for the next discussion.

Does this confirm that my proposed works are permitted?

No. Feasibility, authority requirements and contractor scope need project-specific review. An enquiry is not technical or regulatory approval.

What determines the quotation?

The defined scope, drawings, site conditions, specifications, access, programme and agreed responsibilities. No fixed price is promised before review.
