Furniture sized to a family villa
Dubai Properties describes its Dubailand communities as designed for families, and many of the homes there are villas with generous living rooms, wide landings and several bedrooms. Those rooms bring their own furniture problems: a sofa wall too long for any standard sofa, a majlis that needs seating along three walls, a landing that could be a reading corner, or a bedroom where the desk, TV and dressing table all compete for one wall. A made-to-measure piece solves the specific room, and because it is made by the same team as your joinery, it can share the same finishes.

Project Beyond's bedrooms
At Project Beyond, a corner villa in Dubailand, our scope included bespoke joinery across all bedrooms and custom wardrobes. The bedroom pieces combine work and media in one designed wall, with a built-in desk and a wall-hung TV console under cove lighting.
Designing furniture like this together with the ceiling, lighting and wardrobes is what keeps a bedroom calm: every piece has a place, and the finishes repeat instead of competing.

Custom furniture or freestanding?
Built-in pieces use every centimetre of a wall and stay with the villa. Freestanding pieces made to measure can move with you if you change homes, which matters to tenants and to owners planning to sell. Many Dubailand villas end up with both: built-in desks and consoles in bedrooms, and freestanding dining or living pieces made to the room's size.
