When a piece has to be made
Mudon homes are planned around open ground floors and garden views, and furniture bought off the shelf often fights that: a console too deep for the hallway, a sideboard that blocks a sliding door, shelves that stop short of the ceiling. Custom furniture is drawn for the exact space and made to match the other finishes in the home. It sits between fitted joinery and loose furniture, and in our Mudon projects the two blend, with consoles and shelves forming part of a joinery wall.

Furniture planned with the room
Matching finishes and light
A made piece sits most naturally in a room when it is designed with the floor, walls and lighting. In Project Mudon the TV wall's floating shelf and backlighting are part of the same design as the slatted panels behind them.
We draw each piece in 3D in its place, with its finish against the real floor and wall colours. Once approved, it is made in our workshop and delivered and fitted by our team. If a piece is too big for the stairs, we design it to be assembled in sections.
