Renovating an established villa
A villa that has been lived in for years tells you what needs changing. The kitchen layout no longer suits the family, bathrooms feel dated, floors are worn at the doorways and the lighting was never planned for how the rooms are used now. In Dubai Silicon Oasis, the DSO website describes the Cedre homes in Arabic, Modern or Traditional exterior styles, and Semmer as a development of four-bedroom villas. Each style sets a different tone inside as well as out, and a renovation that respects the original character usually ages better than one that fights it.
What owners in DSO usually ask us to change
Kitchen
New cabinets made in our workshop, a better working layout, worktops and lighting, or a full kitchen rebuild.
Bathrooms
Strip-out and renewal of tiling, sanitaryware, showers, niches and waterproofing.
Floors and stairs
Replacing tired tiles or carpet with one continuous floor finish, and refreshing the staircase to match.
Ceilings and lighting
Gypsum ceilings with concealed lighting to replace bare downlights and add atmosphere.
Joinery
Wardrobes, TV walls and storage made in-house and delivered to site.
Outside
Facade painting, the garden, a pergola or a pool, done in the same project if you wish.
Planning around a family that stays
Phasing the work
Most DSO owners renovate while living in the villa. We split the work into zones, so the family keeps a working bathroom and a place to sleep while another part of the house is being done, and noisy demolition happens early in the day within our working hours of 8:00 to 17:00, Monday to Saturday.
Being based in SIT Tower in the same community means the site visit, sample meetings and progress checks are easy to arrange. Approvals for the works are needed from the community's master developer or management; we confirm what applies to your villa and apply for them ourselves.
