Fitting a pool to the garden you have
Gardens in Dubai Hills Estate range from compact townhouse plots to large villa gardens beside Dubai Hills Golf Club, so the first pool question is not style but size and position. Some homes already have a pool; others have only lawn and paving. Either way, we look at how much of the garden the pool can take while still leaving room to sit in the shade, how the machinery will reach the back of the plot, and where the plant room and pipework will go. We work in concrete and in fibreglass, build anything from a plunge pool to an infinity edge or an outdoor jacuzzi, and renovate swimming pools that are tired or leaking.
Which pool suits which home
Townhouse gardens
A plunge pool or a compact skimmer pool, often with a built-in step or ledge to sit on, leaves space for a shaded terrace.
Independent villas
A family skimmer pool along one side of the garden, keeping a lawn or play area clear on the other.
Golf-side gardens
An overflow or infinity edge that turns the water towards the view, with the deck and loungers facing the course.
Adding a spa
An outdoor jacuzzi built into the pool or set beside it, sharing the plant room.
Renovating an existing pool
New finishes, coping, lighting and equipment, or a reshaped pool if the original layout no longer works for you.

What ECM says
In its home modification FAQs for Dubai Hills Estate, Emaar Community Management answers the question of re-doing a swimming pool directly: permission is needed, the NOC is applied for through the community portal's Home Modifications section, and any alteration to the villa has to be approved by Emaar.
So a new pool and a pool renovation both start with drawings. The pool is drawn in 3D with its deck and planting, and those drawings go with our NOC application. Fees, documents and processing times are set by the community, and we do not quote them here.

What changes the cost
Pool type and size, concrete or fibreglass, the filtration system and any heating or chilling, overflow channels and balance tanks, interior and deck finishes, lighting, and how easily excavation equipment can reach the garden. For a renovation, the condition of the shell, pipework and equipment once opened up also matters. We price it after measuring the garden and agreeing the design. The deck, planting and lighting around the pool come under our wider pools and landscaping service.
