Landscaping in Sharjah
We design and build villa gardens in Sharjah, from the ground up or around what you already have: paving, planting, irrigation, lighting, shade and the outdoor rooms that make a garden usable for more of the year.

Gardens for Sharjah villas
Villa plots in Sharjah range from generous yards around older family houses to the narrower gardens of newer townhouses. Older plots often have a bare or tiled courtyard, a few mature trees, a high boundary wall and a corner that has become storage. Newer homes usually come with sand or a basic lawn and little else. In both, the same things decide whether a garden gets used: shade, a comfortable place to sit, light in the evening and planting that survives the summer. We work in Sharjah and design the garden around those needs first, then choose the materials. Because one team designs and builds, the garden you approve in 3D is the one that gets built. The same studio also offers interior design for Sharjah homes, run the same way: a free visit, a full design to approve and one project manager.
What we build
Hard landscaping
Paving and interlock, paths and stepping stones, driveways, planters, steps and garden walls. See paving and interlock.
Lawn and planting
Natural lawn or artificial grass, trees, shrubs and planting beds chosen for sun and heat.
Irrigation
A watering system laid before the planting goes in, zoned so lawns, beds and trees each get what they need.
Lighting
Path, wall, tree and step lighting, with cables run under the paving before it is laid.
Outdoor rooms
Sunken seating, fire pits, BBQ and bar counters, outdoor kitchens and showers.
Water features
Fountains and wall features that add sound and movement to a courtyard.
Pergolas in Sharjah gardens
Shade decides how much the garden is used
In a Sharjah summer an open garden is hard to use until the evening. A pergola gives a fixed, shaded place to sit or eat and becomes the centre the rest of the garden is planned around. Its position is decided by the sun path, the view from the house, and whether it covers a seating area, an outdoor kitchen or the edge of a pool.
We design the pergola with its lighting, the paving beneath it and any seating or counters it shelters, and build it with the rest of the garden. On Project Murano in Al Furjan the pergola sits on a floating base with underlights; on Project Casa Colonia architectural pergola zones were part of a full poolside transformation. Approvals for garden works in Sharjah
Garden works that touch structures, such as new walls, pergolas, shades or changes to a boundary wall, can need approval, while planting alone usually does not. According to Sharjah Municipality's service directory, the municipality issues maintenance permits for residential villas. Villas in developer-managed communities may also need a no-objection certificate from the developer or community management. We apply for the approvals ourselves and tell you which apply after the site visit.
Water, soil and planting in a Sharjah garden
Working with sand, humidity and the summer
Many Sharjah plots sit on sand that drains almost at once and holds little water, so a garden here is only as good as its irrigation. We zone the system by plant type: drip lines to beds, hedges and trees, sprays to any natural lawn, each on its own zone of the controller so water goes where it is needed and not onto the paving. Beds get a layer of proper soil and mulch over the sand so roots have something to hold. The humid air near the coast and the drier heat inland suit different plants, and we choose from those that cope with heat, poor soil and some salt rather than from what looks good in a nursery in spring. Our guide to plants and trees for this climate lists the reliable ones, and drip irrigation explains how the zones work.
Wind matters too. Open ground at the edge of a district sends sand across a garden, so walls, planters and a hedge on the windward side keep paving and seating cleaner. Existing palms and trees are an asset for shade and are kept where they are healthy; where one must go, Sharjah Municipality's service directory lists a request for the removal of palms or trees in Sharjah city, and we confirm what applies before any tree is touched.

What to have ready for the site visit
The free visit to your villa in Sharjah is where the garden is measured and the levels, sun and services recorded. A few things speed it up:
- The plot planA site plan showing the boundary, setbacks and the position of the villa tells us where structures such as a pergola or a garden wall can sit.
- Where water and power areThe outdoor tap, the pump room if there is one, and the nearest distribution board decide how irrigation and lighting are fed.
- Photos through the dayMorning and late-afternoon photos show which corners get sun and which sit in the shadow of the house or the boundary wall.
- Community guidelinesIf a developer or community management has rules for gardens, front setbacks or structures, bring them.
- What to keepMature trees, a good patch of paving, an existing gate. Designing around them saves work and gives a new garden some maturity from the start.
- How the garden will be usedChildren, pets, guests in the evening, a pool later. The answer sets the layout before any material is chosen.
