Landscape construction in Dubailand

Behind every finished garden is ground work nobody sees: compaction, levels, drainage, pipes and cables. We build that part properly in Dubailand gardens, then lay the finishes on top.

BUILDING ON

Building on sandy ground

Like most of inland Dubai, Dubailand's communities are built on sand. Left unprepared, sandy garden ground settles under paving, washes out at the edges of beds and lets artificial grass ripple. Landscape construction deals with it before anything visible goes in: excavating to the right depth, compacting a stable base, setting falls so irrigation water and rain move away from the house, and building the planters, steps and footings that the finished garden rests on. The aim is a garden that stays flat and dry under the finishes.

WHAT WE

What we build

01

Ground preparation

Excavation, compaction and a prepared base under paving, stepping stones and artificial grass.

02

Blockwork

Planter walls, raised beds, seating plinths, steps and garden walls.

03

Drainage and levels

Falls set away from the house, with water directed into planted areas or drainage points.

04

Irrigation installation

Drip lines for beds and trees and spray zones for lawn, laid and tested before backfill.

05

Lighting cabling

Ducts and cables for path, wall and planting lights run before paving closes over them.

06

Finishes

Paving, interlock, stepping stones, decking, lawn or artificial grass, and planting.

WORKING ACROSS

Working across Dubailand's communities

Dubai Properties lists several gated communities within Dubailand, including The Villa, Serena, Mudon, Arabella, Al Waha, Villanova and Remraam. In practice that means:

  • Rules differ by communityEach community has its own master developer or management, with its own approval process and contractor rules. We confirm them for your address and apply for the approvals ourselves.
  • Access is usually easier on corner plotsCorner and end villas, like Project Beyond, often allow materials in from the side. Mid-row homes may need everything carried through a gate or the house.
  • Neighbours stay closeDeliveries, cutting and waste are planned so the street and neighbouring plots are kept clear.
OUR PROJECT

Our project in Dubailand

Project Beyond's refreshed entrance

Project Beyond, a corner villa in Dubailand, was a complete villa redefinition by our in-house team. Its scope included a refreshed outdoor entrance.

An entrance is a small but exacting construction job: steps and thresholds must meet the door at the right height, stepping stones must sit level in the lawn, and any lighting cable has to be in place before the finishes go down.

WHAT CHANGES

The area being built, how much ground preparation and excavation it needs, the amount of blockwork, the paving and turf chosen, the length of irrigation and lighting runs, access for materials, and the removal of existing paving or planting. A quotation follows the site visit.

FAQ

Questions and answers

Why does my artificial grass ripple?

Usually because the base under it was not compacted and levelled. We prepare the base before laying any grass.

Who approves landscape works in my Dubailand community?

That depends on the community, since each has its own master developer or management. We find out for your villa and apply for the approvals.

Can you lay irrigation and lighting under existing paving?

Only by lifting it. That is why we lay services first on new gardens.

Do you build entrances and front gardens?

Yes. Project Beyond in Dubailand included a refreshed outdoor entrance.

How long does a garden build take?

It depends on the work. A programme follows the site visit.
