Bedrooms that need more than the handover wardrobe
The bedrooms in DAMAC Hills townhouses and villas follow the plans of their house type, and the storage that came with them was sized for a typical buyer. Families who settle in tend to outgrow it: a master bedroom needs his and hers sections, a teenager needs a desk and shelves, a guest room has to double as storage for luggage and seasonal clothes. A fitted wardrobe uses the whole wall, including the space up to the ceiling that a freestanding unit leaves to dust, and it can be planned with the room's lighting and AC rather than in spite of them.

Master bedroom
Full-height wardrobes with separate hanging lengths, drawers and shoe storage, or a dressing area if the room allows.
Children's rooms
Lower rails that can be raised later, open shelves and a built-in desk.
Guest room
A mix of hanging space for visitors and closed storage for the household.
Sloped or awkward corners
Wardrobes scribed to walls and ceilings that are not quite straight.
Decisions before the wardrobe is made

Wardrobes during a wider renovation
If ceilings, flooring or lighting are also changing, as they did in our DAMAC Hills 2 projects Alpha and Bold, the wardrobes are measured for manufacture only once the new ceiling and floor are in. That way the doors meet a finished ceiling line and sit on the final floor level, and any cove lighting in the ceiling can be planned to stop at the right place.
