Renovating the houses among the towers
Most of Jumeirah Village Circle is apartments, but its villas and townhouses are a different kind of home to renovate. According to Nakheel's website, Jumeirah Village Circle is one of its communities. Alongside Nakheel's own villas, JVC includes homes built by other developers, so floor plans, finishes and construction details vary from one cluster to the next. What they share is a set of renovation questions: a kitchen that no longer suits the family, bathrooms that look their age, too little storage, a staircase that sets the tone of the whole house, and a garden that was never finished. Areas we renovate in a JVC home
Kitchen
New layouts, opening the kitchen to the living area where the structure allows, and cabinetry made in our own joinery.
Bathrooms
Strip-out, waterproofing, tiling, sanitaryware, niches and lighting, planned so one bathroom stays usable.
Storage
Fitted wardrobes, under-stair cupboards and built-in units, which matter in a townhouse where every wall counts.
Staircase and living areas
Treads, balustrades, feature walls, TV walls and gypsum ceilings with concealed lighting.
Garden and outdoor link
Paving, planting, lighting and shade, so the ground floor opens onto a usable space.
Lighting and smart controls
New lighting layouts and home automation, wired while walls and ceilings are open.
Townhouse or villa: planning the work
Shared walls, one staircase and a family at home
A townhouse shares walls with its neighbours, so noisy work such as breaking tiles or chasing walls is scheduled and kept within our working hours of 8:00 to 17:00, Monday to Saturday. Anything that touches a shared wall or the structure is checked before it is drawn.
With one staircase serving the whole house, work upstairs means materials passing through the ground floor. We protect the stairs and the floors that stay, and phase the work so that the family keeps a bathroom, a place to sleep and a way to cook. Your project manager keeps the sequence and is your single point of contact.
Approvals for renovating in JVC
Nakheel's FAQ says owners can make changes as long as they do not affect the external facade and structure of the property, and that an NOC from Nakheel's Urban Planning team is needed before any alterations. In clusters built by another developer, that developer's or the owners' association's rules can also apply. We check your home's situation and apply for the approvals ourselves.

Project Study
A free site visit to walk each floor and the garden, and check structure, services and shared walls.
Plan
Scope, phasing and which rooms stay in use. We apply for the approvals the work needs.
Visualization
Kitchen, bathrooms, joinery and living areas designed in 3D before anything is removed.
Execution
Our in-house team carries out the work, with joinery made in our own workshop and one project manager throughout.
