Does a pool fit in a JVC garden?
Many homes in Jumeirah Village Circle are townhouses or villas with modest gardens, so the first question is not which pool to build but whether one fits alongside the seating, shade and lawn you also want. We measure the garden, check how far a pool can sit from the house and the boundary walls, look for services under the ground, and work out how excavation can reach the back of the plot. Sometimes the answer is a full pool. Sometimes it is a plunge pool with a bench, and sometimes a water feature gives the sound and feel of water without giving up the garden.
Pool types that suit compact gardens
Plunge pool
Small in footprint, deep enough to sit with your shoulders under water, often with a built-in bench. It leaves room for seating beside it.
Compact skimmer pool
A small rectangle set along one boundary, so the rest of the garden stays open.
Narrow lap-style pool
Where a garden is long rather than wide, a slim pool along the long side can give a few strokes without taking the whole plot.
Fibreglass shell
A ready-made shell can suit a small garden, but only where it can be delivered. In many townhouses the access rules it out, which we check first.

What we check before drawing a pool
- The access routeWhether a small machine can reach the garden, or whether excavation has to be done largely by hand.
- Distance from foundations and wallsThe pool is placed so that it does not undermine the house, boundary walls or a neighbour's structure.
- Equipment positionPump and filter need a ventilated spot, ideally away from bedroom windows next door.

Small spaces leave no room for afterthoughts
In a compact garden the pool, the deck, the planting and the lighting compete for the same few metres. We design them as one scheme, so the deck drains away from the water, the seating catches shade and the lights are laid with the pipework rather than added later.
You see the result in 3D before any digging starts, including the view from the living room. Once approved, the same drawings guide our site team, and one project manager runs the pool and garden works together.

Pool approvals in JVC
According to Nakheel's website, Jumeirah Village Circle is one of its communities. A pool is construction work, and Nakheel's FAQ says owners need an NOC from its Urban Planning team before making alterations; it also refers to construction work that needs both a Nakheel and a Trakhees NOC. If your home is in a cluster built by another developer, that developer's rules may also apply. We confirm the approvals your pool needs and apply for them ourselves.
