Swimming pool construction in Al Furjan
A pool in an Al Furjan garden has to share a small space with seating, shade and planting. We size and design it in 3D with the rest of the garden, and apply for the Nakheel NOC ourselves.

Fitting a pool into an Al Furjan garden
Nakheel describes Al Furjan as a community of four-bedroom villas and three-bedroom townhouses, and its community pavilions include a shared swimming pool. Owners who want a private pool are usually working with a garden that is modest in size, so the first question is not which finish but how much of the garden the pool should take. A long pool can leave no room to sit; a plunge pool or a jacuzzi can give the cooling-off and the look of water while keeping the lawn and BBQ area. On a corner or larger villa plot, a skimmer or overflow pool with a proper deck becomes realistic. We test those options in 3D against your actual garden before you decide.
Pool options for villas and townhouses here
Plunge pool
Compact and deep enough to cool off, for townhouse gardens where space is tight.
Outdoor jacuzzi or spa
A smaller body of water, built in next to the terrace.
Skimmer pool
The common choice where the garden allows a longer pool, with water drawn through skimmers below the edge.
Overflow pool
Water level with the deck, for a cleaner look where the layout suits it.
Concrete or fibreglass
We build both. In a garden reached through a narrow gate, the access route often decides which is practical.
What we check in an Al Furjan garden
- AccessWhether an excavator or a fibreglass shell can reach the garden, and how spoil leaves the site.
- Space around the poolRoom for a deck, seating and the pump and filtration equipment.
- Neighbours and privacyWhich windows look into the garden, especially on townhouse rows.
- Sun and shadeWhere the sun falls in the afternoon and whether a pergola should shade part of the water.
The Nakheel NOC for a pool
Al Furjan is a Nakheel development, according to Nakheel's website, and Nakheel's FAQ states that owners must obtain an NOC from Nakheel's Urban Planning team before making any alterations. Its FAQ also refers to construction work that needs both a Nakheel and a Trakhees NOC. A pool is construction work, so we confirm the approvals for your villa or townhouse and apply for them ourselves before excavation.
