Pools for villas on their own plots
Most of Al Barsha's villas are in Al Barsha 2, 3 and Al Barsha South, and many stand on individual plots with garden space on more than one side. That opens up options: a pool can sit in the rear garden, along a side, or be the centre of a courtyard formed by the house and boundary walls. It also raises questions a gated estate settles for you, such as how private the pool is from neighbouring upper windows and how equipment noise reaches the house next door. Some villas already have a pool that has seen many summers and now needs renovating rather than replacing. We take on both: new concrete and fibreglass pools of any common type, and renovation of existing ones. The pools pictured are all from our projects in other communities.
Planning a pool on an Al Barsha plot
- PrivacyNeighbouring villas may overlook the garden from upper floors. Pool position, pergolas, screens and planting are planned against those sightlines.
- Position on the plotRear, side or courtyard: we compare options for sun, shade, views from the house and distance from the boundary.
- Existing treesMature trees give welcome shade but drop leaves and send out roots. The pool is placed with both in mind.
- Access for excavationA driveway often makes access easier than in a townhouse, but the route to the rear garden still decides the equipment.
- Equipment and neighboursPumps and filters are placed in a ventilated, shaded spot, away from your bedrooms and the neighbour's.
- ApprovalsA pool on a standalone plot and one inside a managed compound can need different approvals. We work out which apply and submit them.
Pools that suit larger villa gardens
Family skimmer pool
A practical, robust pool with steps or a shallow ledge for children.
Overflow pool
A flush water surface level with the terrace, with a balance tank planned into the plot.
Lap pool
A long, narrow pool along a side garden, for swimming rather than lounging.
Pool with water feature
A cascade or wall fountain into the pool, which also masks street and neighbour noise.
Jacuzzi
A separate spa or one built into the pool edge.
Pool renovation
New finishes, coping, lighting and equipment for an existing pool with a sound shell.
Shade, deck and garden
One design, one team
In Dubai's summer the pool is used mostly in shade and after dark. A pergola or gazebo beside it, a pale deck that stays cooler underfoot and lighting in and around the water make the difference between a pool that is admired and one that is used.

Project Study
A free site visit to walk the plot, check sightlines from neighbouring houses, access and services, or inspect your existing pool.
Plan
Pool position, type, size, finishes and equipment are agreed, and we confirm and apply for the approvals.
Visualization
The pool and garden in 3D, including views from inside the house and from upper floors.
Execution
Excavation, structure, pipework, finishes and surroundings by our team, with one project manager.
Duration depends on the work. A programme follows the site visit.
