Glass works for homes and offices in Dubai
From a shower screen or a mirror wall to glass partitions and balustrades, we design, measure and install interior glass as part of the wider job, so it fits the finishes around it.

Glass is the finish fitted last and measured most carefully
Most interior materials can be trimmed on site. Toughened glass cannot: once it has been toughened it cannot be cut or drilled, so every panel is made to a measurement taken from the finished walls and floors, including holes for handles and hinges. That is why glass works are best planned with the rest of the interior. If tiles are thicker than expected or a wall is out of plumb, a shower screen made from early drawings will not fit. Doing glass as part of the same job means the tiler, the joiner and the glass installer are working to the same set of measurements. The result is glass that lines up with grout lines, sits flush in a niche or meets a ceiling cleanly.

Types of glass, in general terms
The right glass depends on where it goes and what it has to do. The general categories are:
- Toughened glassHeat-treated to be stronger than ordinary glass and to break into small blunt pieces. Normal for showers, doors and most partitions.
- Laminated glassTwo or more layers bonded with an interlayer, so the glass stays in place if it cracks. Often used where glass guards a drop.
- Frosted, etched or sandblastedObscured glass for privacy in bathrooms, partitions and doors.
- Back-painted glassColoured on the back face, used for splashbacks and wall panels.
- Tinted and mirrored glassFor mirrors, feature panels and a darker or reflective look.

Planning glass into a room
Fixings, edges and what sits behind the glass
Glass looks simple, but each panel has to be held. Channels, clamps, hinges and patch fittings all need solid backing, so the wall or floor behind them has to be prepared before the finishes go on. In a shower, the fixings and the seal at the bottom of the screen matter as much as the glass. On a staircase or balcony, how the glass guarding is fixed is a safety question first and a design question second.
We show glass in the 3D design along with the finishes around it, so you can see the frosting, the hardware colour and how the glass lines up with tiles and joinery before anything is ordered.
