A pool renovation is rarely just the pool
Ask what a tired pool needs and the answer usually spreads past the water. The tiles are dated, but so is the coping; new lighting needs power run under the deck; a new pump may want a better place than the old plant room; the paving around the pool has to be lifted to reach any of it, and the garden next to the paving gets disturbed too. With separate contractors, the tiler, the pool technician, the electrician and the landscaper each wait for one another, and each can point at the others when a level or a leak is wrong. A turnkey pool renovation contractor takes the pool and everything around it as one job, so one team is responsible from the first inspection to the first swim.

Structure check
The shell, the levels and any signs of leaks are checked before the scope is fixed.
Waterproofing and finish
Waterproofing where it is needed, then new tiles, mosaic or another finish, and new coping.
Equipment and filtration
Pumps, filters and pipework renewed or relocated as the new design requires.
Lighting and power
Underwater and perimeter lighting, with power and controls planned with the rest of the garden.
Conversion
Where the structure allows, a skimmer pool can become an overflow pool, which means rebuilding the top of the walls, adding channels and a balance tank, and redoing the deck.
Deck and garden
Paving, decking, shade, planting and irrigation around the pool, finished at the same time.
Where separate contractors usually clash

- Waterproofing and tilingIf one firm waterproofs and another tiles, a later leak becomes an argument about whose layer failed.
- Coping and deck levelsThe edge of the pool and the paving around it must be set together so water drains away from the pool.
- Equipment and electricsPumps, lights and controls need power, and the cable routes run under the new deck.
- Pool and gardenPlanting and irrigation close to the water are planned so the garden does not end up in the pool.

Approvals and sequence
One programme from drained pool to first swim
Pool and garden works often need approval from the community. We apply for the approvals ourselves; which ones apply depends on the community and the scope.
The work then runs in one order under one project manager: drain and inspect, structural and waterproofing work, services and equipment, finish and coping, deck and garden, then filling and handover. A programme is given after the site visit.

Plan
The scope is agreed for the pool and its surroundings, and we apply for the approvals.
Visualization
The renovated pool and poolside are produced in 3D and approved by you before execution.
Execution
